Bob Marley Illustration

I recently found this and this has made me decide to use waer colour paints and vector as this image is the best ive seen of Bob Marley.

I don't think water colour is used buy i want that soft/light feel to the paints and water colour would work best. The outline is done in ink which looks really good when dripping at the bottom, i could repeat this in vector form and mix it with the messy style shown below.
