Reggae Illustrations

Now ive chosen my artist i now know the genre too, i looked at this genre before but this time im going to look deeper. These are some reggae illustrations..

I really like this design, its very creative and shows reggae in a new modern style. The bubble writing is fantastic as its unpredictable.

 

The reason i looked at this is mainly because of the shape, i may do something like this and have a montage look to it apart from that i dont think this is the best design.

  

This illustration is done by paints and i think because its done by something more hands on and "natural" it represents the gene much better than a vector computer based image. Reggae is often linked with weed and thts all about being real and i think paints are a fantastic way to show that.

 

The style of this makes it stand out, i think if i wasnt all rough and not all filled in it wouldnt be as good, having a unique style may help my design stand out even if its unusual. The rasta colours in the background look amazing next t the sun/moon.

 

This design has would definatly represent a song with good rythem, the flows of the illustrations give you the feeling that if this was to represent a song, the song would flow smoothly. The way the artist has combined images into the swirls could tell the story of the song.
